EHR Usability

Information overload of clinicians created by continuous data flow results in barriers in identifying, extracting, and interpreting of relevant data. Technologies enable continuous patient monitoring however, the voluminous additional data have contributed to information overload in an already high-risk environment. The objective of this study is to explore the impact of current data representation in the EHR on ICU clinician’s workload, performance, and satisfaction with the EHR.
